Finally upgraded my old Backberry to a Samsung Galaxy S3. The included music player app sucks. I have heard good things about PowerAmp and Double Twist. Anything better or recommended?
Thanks in advance! |

I think the included Google Music Player works just fine on my GS3. I'll agree with this. I just got my GS3 last week. Stock app sucks. Couldn't figure out how to get it to show albums. It just showed songs in alphabetical order. Google Music Player is just fine. The music part of an iPhone is the one thing I DO prefer. |

I use PowerAmp because the headphone amp in my Thunderbolt is the weakest sauce. The player interface is decent, but the menus are kind of fiddly and complicated for no reason.
I use Doggcatcher for podcasts, and once-upon-a-time used MortPlayer for audiobooks. ETA: Also because USB support for the Thunderbolt is a hilarious joke, I use Airdroid to update my music collection manually from my PC. |
| I use Samsung Kies Air to move all my songs from my MacBook over to my GS3. The album art is not a deal breaker for so the Google Music Player works just fine. Just yesterday I was driving to lunch and decided I wanted to download the new Coheed and Cambria album. I pulled it up on Google Play and instantly dowloaded it to my phone in about 2 seconds. The it played with the album are on my phone and through my car stereo. Love it!! |
