TWC here. Paying about $200 a month: 3 boxes, DVR, internet.

You're right, OP... some months it seems damn expensive.

And... there's never anything good on. Adult Swim and House Hunters is pretty much all I watch.

Maybe Storage Wars for a laugh. I like Barry. (His Misfits gloves always crack me up.)

I think Netflix and Hulu are the best things to ever happen to TV. I think I pay around $15 a month for both of them. Money well spent.

$40 for high speed internet, $9 or whatever for Netflix streaming, a couple bucks now and then for a Red Box run, and exactly zero for TV.  Dumped DirecTV over the summer and do not miss it one bit.

$22 / month for basic cable.  Another $15 or so per month for Amazon and Netflix.

All my news from the internet or the WSJ.

We cut it way back about 18 months ago, have saved like $1,200 in that time.

Don't miss it really, except for ESPN probably...

$30 a month for the "middle" speed of high speed.

No cable. Too damn expensive. With netflix, amazon instant, 20 over the air channels, etc there is no need for cable.

Nothing.

I turned off the cable last year.

Just when I start thinking about turning it back on I hear about this Honey Boo Boo nonsense or some other crap.

It's staying off.
