They know he is probably going to lose.
They also know the Democratic Party is much bigger than just Obama. When Obama loses they need to keep a majority in the Senate to save Obamacare from repeal. That Senate majority will also come in handy for preventing nationwide voter ID. They are trying to keep their party intact for the 2014 midterm elections and for another shot at the presidency in 2016. Obama is big, but he is not bigger than the Democratic Party. Life, and the push leftwards, will go on after Obama. |

Dem Campaign workers that i know here in MD arent trying to get independant people to vote for obama, they are trying to get them to vote for the independants. They tell the conservatives to vote 3rd parts because "their vote will be wasted anyway" so they might as well send a message.

If Romney can win this one-and I think he can-it may usher in two terms for Romney, and one or two for Ryan. Klinton could be out of our hair forever if that's the case.
