They know he is probably going to lose.
They also know the Democratic Party is much bigger than just Obama.
When Obama loses they need to keep a majority in the Senate to save Obamacare from repeal.
That Senate majority will also come in handy for preventing nationwide voter ID.
They are trying to keep their party intact for the 2014 midterm elections and for another shot at the presidency in 2016.
Obama is big, but he is not bigger than the Democratic Party.
Life, and the push leftwards, will go on after Obama.

One way to tell that the administration knows they are in trouble is the fact that they are campaigning (spending money) in states that at one time were considerd solid. Ohio, Wisconsin, Iowa etc...

Clearly you have not been paying much attention.  Romney now leads in virtually all of the swing states or is at least tied.  The trend is in his favor.  Obama is sinking fast.  The electoral map is well behind the info curve.

She wants to run 2016-it'll be her last chance.  If Romney can win this one-and I think he can-it may usher in two terms for Romney, and one or two for Ryan.  Klinton could be out of our hair forever if that's the case.

Of course, some other radical will step up to fill her shoes (and probably worse), but I can't wait to see her go away.

Obama is broke, they have been borrowing money, so his sitting out in DC is no big deal. By the weekend he will have a few bucks come in and will be out again.

Romney has this locked up, look at the facts and quit watching NBC.

It will end up looking like this and up to a possible 352 Electoral

He also wins WI and probably PA.

The big hope on the Republican side is that if an incumbent is below 50% at this point, he will lose.
But I believe that the electoral college advantage will mean BHO has a 60% chance of winning. Mitt has to win almost all the close states.

Clinton absolutely knows, and I don't think he cares in the least. I'll wager that he's secretly rooting for Romney and will vote for him. Things haven't gone well under Zer0's watch and Willie wants Hillary to have a shot when she does run. If Zer0 gets another four years, he'll have screwed things up so bad there might not be a Democratic party candidate win in any race in the country.

If there *IS* a country. Let the economy really crash bad from this guy's inept handling and things could get... "Interesting."
