This intersection is a constant pain in my ass because I never know what the other drivers are going to do and I'm even doubting myself. It's kind of hard to explain so hopefully the pics clear it up.  



First up is example A which I think is how we should go with the cars all staying to the right side of their respective lanes.  My path is the red line.
















Now here in example B, I get what typically happens which is people always try to cross in front of me and 9 times out of 10 its some stupid soccer mom in a suburban and I can't see through her tank.













Example C is what is the correct method for pulling a U Turn at this intersection.  Red or Blue?  













So am I a dumbass?

A is correct.  Be aggressive and pull out there letting the other car know you are going first.

In examples A and B, you have the right of way.
Blue car should stay at the stop line until you clear the intersection.
I know it doesn't always work that way....

First pic:  A is the correct way.  You being the *red line on the main roadway have the right of way.   The cars coming out of the side street have a stop sign and should yield to traffic on the main roadway.  So no matter how red car negotiates that turn the blue car needs to yield.

Third Pic:  Blue is the right way to make that U turn.

I'm curious why the northbound side has a left turn lane.  There's no road to the left, is it for a U-turn?

This sometimes bothers me when you have two cars turning left on a divided highway with the patch of concrete between lanes is longer than a car's length.  I usually go for option A, but best to just not have to deal with another left turning car.

Between A&B, B is correct, but the path for B blue is wrong.

Yeah it's just for U-turns.  




ETA, I forgot that there's a driveway there and the pavement you see running parallel to the main road is a bike/walking path.







The problem I have is that I'm heading south to turn left into my neighborhood and almost every fucking time, the blue car pulls an option B on me and I'm stuck sititng there because I can't see through their SUV.

this is the correct answer, but you should shouting "POWER" in you best Clarkson voice during the drift.

That's just where I drug the arrow when I was MS Painting.  Ignore that.  I'm focusing on which side of the intersection the crossing cars should be in.

Blue shouldn't be stopped in the intersection at all. Blue should be at the stop line until it is clear to proceed.

There is a turn in there.

A is correct, blue line for U-turn.

I have a similar problem with the highway crossover in front of where I work. I use option A, and when I'm not in a hurry option A seems to be what everyone else uses, but when in a rush B seems to be what everyone does, so I just sit in the short lane to merge out of regular traffic and block their view. Be a dumb ass and get a shitty view of oncoming traffic.

Example A is correct, keep in mind if blue line pulls out when you are turning left they are violating your right of way.  They are on a side road and cannot legally proceed until all traffic is clear, keep in mind being right isn't worth getting into an accident!



In example C the blue line is correct, you are in the left lane and after turning you should still be in the left lane.

See if you can get the highway department or whoever to paint some curving lane indicators there for turning vehicles.  That way there's no confusion.

Safest way to get through that intersection is to do a Michigan left by turning right, going down to the next cross over, doing a U-turn, and then heading back through the intersection.  If there is a stop light at the intersection this will actually save time and keep traffic moving.

I'd approach it fast, using only enough brake to keep my vehicle attached to the road.  I would dangle my left arm out the driver's window with hand clenched in a fist save for the extended middle digit, and said hand will be making rapid up/down motions.  I would use no directional indicators, as my grand plan to replace the blinker unit with one that flashes "FUCK YOU" in morse code is as yet uncompleted.  

If there is anyone around, I would apply pressure to the horn actuator and howl incomprehensible gibberish at them as I rocket through the intersection, alpha to all that my gaze comes upon.

You obviously need some remedial driving lessons.  I'd suggest 20 hours on the Jersey Turnpike.  Not only will that sharpen your driving skills, but your name will become a killing word.
