| Last election for president our country had a choice. Bush or Gore, well it wasn't much, but it was all we had. Mr. Bush ain't a pimple on his daddys butt. The gene pool has been diluted to a point where it is quite evident. I reference the last blitz of attacks on Israel, his comment "this is the attack of a few to quash the peace talks." Well those few are killing many, now I know Jr. is an oil man, but his appeasement of the Arab oil countries is becoming evident, even to a slug like me, and I think they will observe this also, and take even greater liberties concerning this situation with Israel. I use to think he was just was not personable on television, now I think he is what he appears, out of his depth when it comes to international issues. His war talk about Iraq seems ludicrous when you concider he is worried abiut what a country may do as opposed to what a country is doing.(sorry for any spelling or grammer errors, the spell check is not working, may be another bug that needs worked out, as I type fast and have klutzy fingers) |

Well hell. The man can't do anything right, can he? All the proponents of the "global" or "world" economy are realizing an unintended consequence. When an INFRASTRUCTURE business is conducted primarily with other countries, the last thing anybody with a brain wants to do is attack them. They have the power to bring our infrastructure to a standstill. Our dependance on foreign oil means Bush is effectively not in control over that part of the situation. It's painful, not thinking through the full consequences. If Belgium (origin of our M16s) or Italy (origin of the current service pistol), started killing Americans or somehow or other posed a threat, exactly how eager do you think Bush would be to go drop iron bombs on them? Not very. There is exactly no difference between the military value of Belgium and Italy, and the military of a handful of Arab countries. Flame away, it's JMO. Humble it ain't. Bush is already under fire for not fixing the economy to eliminate the rules of a cyclic capitalist economy, and the Democrats desperately want to blame him directly for Enron's problems. What do you think would happen when the bombs started falling over Saudi? |

The M9's are made in Accoceek, MD. I have the feeling the ABC's of the AR15 industry would be more then able to handle the demand for M16's and with a bit of capital would be able to ramp up for M249 and M240G production as well. But for right now you are correct where oil is concerned. What we need is a leader with the same type of vision that took us to the Moon, to stand up and make the drive to remove us from our dependence on foreign oil. |

Dave, that would require a big, stout FU! to the globalists. That is exactly what is needed to keep our infrastructure here at home, and it eventually needs to be done. As a side note, I think it is a disgustinig, slimy travesty that the airline industry will get bailed out, but contracts for our military equipment goes to FN and Beretta while Colt makes a long, painful, death spiral, and cities sue our various manufacturers into oblivion. As Dave corrected me, the M9 is manufactured in MD. |
