Miss him yet?

Former President George W. Bush dances with Wounded Warrior Melissa Stockwell, the first female to ever lose a limb in combat.  She was a participant in W's 100 kilometer mountain bike ride and completed the entire ride.

Who dressed him in slacks, tennis shoes and a lumberjack shirt?  Is he pretending to be an 84yr old man or is he just older than I remember?

Cute gal though.... hope I can get that kind of attention when I am running around with my black socks pulled up to my knees.

I am lucky enough to have him and his wife come to my university often.  He is a great man regardless of what you thought about him as a president.

I think President Bush made some mistakes, but I knew this much when I was in the Army: He knew how serious it was, and he took responsibility for what he asked us to do. I'm very glad my retirement paperwork is signed by him, versus either Clinton or Obama.

The man is a class act, no matter what anyone says. I respect him still, even though I really disagree with a lot of what he attempted. He strove for more than he should have, knowing that he wouldn't be in office to carry out what was in truth a fifty-year minimum plan. It's been sad to watch all that was accomplished on his watch pissed away by this administration.

In a way, I wish he'd stuck to a simple set of punitive expeditions instead of trying to reform the entire region. But, I guess that's why he'll go down in history as a great man––He went big, instead of small. I give it another ten years, and he'll be just like Reagan: Everyone will forget they disagreed with him, and tried to stop him from doing what he did. I never, ever thought I'd see Reagan held out as a great president by the same lot of lousy Democrats who did all they could to stop him. Hypocrisy knows no limits, though.

Is there some other way to interpret my post that I'm missing?  He's dressed like an old man wandering around WalMart who doesn't give a shit - which is OK, I look forward to doing the same some day. I just remember him being less old and better dressed.

Good for him, and I'm glad to see the soldier is in good spirits!

He is a man who loves our country without question. He loves his soldiers, sailors, Marines, and Airmen. He knows the position he put them in when he sent them into the field of battle, he feels pain when they are lost, and feels relieved when they come home.

History will treat him well, and it should.

ETA: If I remember, Mr. Bush had shed a tear once when reading a Medal of Honor citation. I do not believe our current president has ever shown a glimpse of such emotion.
