| How long after someone says via email and posting in the ad that they will take an item do you give them to pay? In this case the user has agreed to use Paypal. I'm thinkin 24hrs with no contact and no $ it's time to move on to the next interested party. Is that out of line? |

Quoted:
If the timeliness of payment was not an original term of the sale then you should not unilaterally cancel the sale without contacting an EE mod. That could easily be considered a seller's welch on your part. And away we go! Heaven forbid a seller can move on without the blessing of a mod. Sad to say but rcb1586 is correct.

I'm going to play Devil's Advocate for now (not involved in the transaction).
Say the seller has a nice ACOG with the bible verse on it and everything....for a great price. I want to pay using Paypal, but (as is frequently mentioned on here) Paypal can screw you quickly. So to be safe, I have it linked to a bank account that only has a few $$ in it to keep it open. For me to pay the seller, I have to go transfer $$ from my main account to the paypal account (maybe from a different bank or from Cash I have to deposit so the wife unit's not seeing how much it cost). Being a holiday today (for banks), I have to wait until Tue to take care of it...or I'll get hit with major fees from the bank. (((****If I was the buyer, I'd definitely explain that to the seller and before we finalized the deal with the 'I'll Take It' messages, I'd make sure he was OK with it.....no contact for 24 hours is a bit much if you didn't clarify BEFORE the agreement was made, however....****))) AFARR |
| I live & work in the boonies. It's very difficult to get a USPS MO & mail it, so sometimes it takes me a few days. I either have to take off work, or have my wife do it I really don't like anti-gun paypal. No bad intentions, just different circumstances than other folks. |
