The knobs, dot, and battery casing all look real.  Do you have distinctive and consistent clicks when turning it on and changing intensity of the dot?

To me it looks like a real Comp/M4 that has had the tube duracoated.

I left mine on when I left for R&R, and that took almost a month from the time I left our FOB til I got back.
Fucker was still on too.

Yeah, ARF needs to take some of the more  very informative threads and do the right thing and host the complete thread and all associated pics on its own for everyones benefit so we aren't beholden to members' individual willingness to keep their contributed pics in the thread

Looks legit to me.  I have the "S" model, so they are a little different, but aside from the paint and the fact that it appears to be well broken-in, I don't see anything strange about it.
