Proco Joe Moreno, the nimrod chicago alderman who made national news  with his threat to block the Chick-Fil-A restaurant slated to open in his ward,  has dropped his opposition to the restaurant.   This earth shaking news was completely unpredicted by no  one.

I will be the first Arfcommer to visit that store, as it is a mile from my GF's house and I've been looking forward to it for a while.

A Chicago alderman who made national headlines during the summer for opposing a Chick-fil-A in his increasingly trendy Northwest Side ward has reversed course, saying he will let the fast-food chain open a store in Logan Square.

Ald. Proco "Joe" Moreno, 1st, said the restaurant has agreed to include a statement of respect for all sexual orientations in an internal document and promised that its not-for-profit arm would not contribute money to groups that oppose gay marriage.

Though Moreno said he scored a "big win," the company made nearly identical pledges in a July 19 Facebook post that went up even before Moreno took issue with Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy's opposition to gay marriage.

Who is he to dictate where a private company chooses to donate their money?

Douchebaggery.

The good "alderman" can go fuck himself with the big end of a baseball bat. He could easier stop the wind in Shit-cago than he could stop a Chik-Fil-A from being built there.

Assclown

I imagine the city's lawyers gave him a ballpark figure on what it would cost the city to get it's dick slapped by the courts for denying a business license on ideological grounds.

I'm torn on them opening there.  Part of me says "f..k Chicago" and all of it's "Chicago values".  Stay in the outlying suburbs.

God forbid if Dan Cathy happens to say his Christian beliefs on any topic that isn't 100 % gay acceptable, all of Boystown will storm the store.

Get ready for the next shitstorm via the ACLU.  In light of the story here in GD yesterday (duly reported by FoxNews this AM btw) about the Father Daughter dance, I noticed this morning getting my delicious hate biscuit at CFA, they are advertsing a "Mother Son Date Night" in their restaurant.

I can't wait for someone to bitch about this.
