An EDC Semi auto pistol for $650.00 or less. I would prefer a 9mm or .45 ACP. I am leaning toward either a M&P Shield or XDS. It is going to be a tough choice. So I would like to hear the pros and cons. and your reccomendations please. Thanks for any input.

I have handled both, not shot them though. Both feel good. Thats what's making it so tough, I haven't ruled out the 19 yet. I do like Glocks.

My vote is the 9mm Shield. Larger capacity in the same size package that's still highly effective and the pistol feels good.

I have and like both, I carry the shield in my motorcycle Jacket (top inside pocket) and wouldn't even consider a striker fired gun without a safety for the application but for most uses the G-19 is a tough act to follow.
