A friend of mine brought me his laptop yesterday complaining it had a virus. Well it ended up having the " Live Security Platinum Virus"
I followed the steps detailed here Everything went well except for the fact that I had to load rkill and malwarebytes on a thumb drive because the wireless wasn't working even in safe mode with networking. Now, he says he can't get it to connect to his network. Any ideas as to what is going on? |

I've had limited success with that virus, seems hit or miss. Once you start modifying the registry things can get weird. I could be wrong though, I have no idea what I'm talking about If its working to the point that he can back it up to a remote hard drive I would do so and then reformat |
