Little known movie about a little known battle. One of my top 10. Yeah it is not really well known, it was prod by HBO for HBO so ...it is def main cinema quality not sure why it was not released on the big screen. The cinematography is amazing, you really feel like you are walking thru the forest w/the guys The scene where they step off into the forest in a long line then the 88's up ahead open up on them is about the most horrifying scene I have ever watched in a war movie. |

I bought that on DVD as soon as I saw it... Great movie. Very Ironic. |

Great movie, needed more budget and better costuming. I thought the costuming was excellent! The original guys had the proper "bloody bucket" from the 28th ID on their helmets but the replacements from the repple depple did not, just as an example. I challenge you to give me an example of poor costume in that movie! |

Two that stand out for me is the farby "chrome" helmet liner buckle on one character's helmet.... and the total lack of field jackets and equipment on many of the "extras" in the backround. And yes..... a powerful movie. My dad was a vet of the 28th. ROLL ON 28TH!!! |
