Ok, so I need a new watch for work, and can't have a metal band, so looking at fabric.

Don't want a digital watch, so G-Shock is out.

I'm narrowed down to the following watches , but am still open to suggestions:

Seiko 5 Sports

Citizen Eco Drive

Victorinox.

Why no metal band?

Work rules state no metal bands. They state it is a safety hazard....

Image search "degloving"; you might agree. I wouldn't wear a fabric one either.

I know you said G Shock was out because you dont want digital, but there are G shocks that aren't digital. Heres the one I wear(not my pic):

I just set the digital part to the date/day since it has an analog clock anyways.

I have a Citizen Eco Drive (but with a metal band) and I have no complaints. It's tits.

I would agree, if I wasn't sitting behind a computer out in the field and not on a rig floor or in a machine shop. I'm just not a fan of rubber bands.

For sure they are the tits. I have a titanium Eco Drive for the office and general daily usage. Just wondering if I'm overlooking other watches (like victorinox suggested above) or if I should stick with another Citizen.

I wouldn't worry too much if the band is connected on each side of the watch with those spring loaded pins, they break pretty easy.

I would not use the nylon bands that complete encircle the wrist. Like this:

Rings are what scare me. I've worked in furniture manufacturing over 30 years and never saw an accident caused by a watch but I've seen at least three caused by rings.

I prefer the Japanese made Seiko's.

Traser > Luminox.

For the price of the Traser Commander, you could get a TSAR.

Unrelated to that, I'm in the need for another watch as well.  I'm considering a G-shock analog.  Are they just as sturdy and accurate as the all digitals?  The new RAF casio is slick as hell, but then again it's the same cost as a TSAR.
