Anyone know of a decent 'keychain' sized knife that doesn't suck?

The Bug line is sweet. Excellent little knives!

They sell them individually too. Just a few bucks each.

For years, I carried a Victorinox Classic on my keychain- both the Alox and plastic scaled models. (I found that the scales on the Alox model hold up to the abuse of being carried with a pile of keys better than plastic scales.

I know it sounds passe, but I have some Meyercos that were designed by Blackie Collins that are great keychain knives. They were produced in Japan, are fairly smoothe lockbacks, and have AUS-8 (IIRC) blades. They came packed with a pocket clip that could be attached to the lanyard hole as well as a QD keychain fob. That was probably the best idea ever- because it the QD feature makes it easier to remove the knife to enter sensitive areas or to even use the knife without fumbling a pile of keys. I haven't had a knife on my keychain since I took the Victorinox off before entering the DPS building to get my renewable state permit. (I use the Vic still, I just never got around to putting it back on my keychain) If/when i eventually add a knie to my keychain again, it is going to be attached either by a QD keychain or shortened section of dogtag type chain for convenience and utility.

Yup, I love mine.  I believe the Ladybug 3 is the latest version.

I received on as Christmas gift, but I have never used it. Though it seems to be well made, and has a very edge from the factory, it just seems too small to be practical. I think that I would rather use one of those ~99c. Ridge Runner (or other similar Chinese) impulse purchase knives that they sell in tubs at gunshows and hardware store check-outs.

For its' intended purpose (cutting string, opening packages, cutting boxes, etc.) they are great little knives IMO.  Spyderco steel will stay sharp much longer than a dollarstore knife.
