In my router web page, I see the internet port IP address.

I have the router set to not respond to pings on the internet port.

However, when I go into a terminal and ping that IP address, I get a response.

Is this because I am pinging it from inside my home network?

Or is something wrong here?

It may be blocking ICMP echo requests/replies on the interface connected to your ISP but not on the LAN interface.

And it's by design, not a flaw.
