Is this company getting bigger or smaller?
I thought I remember hearing, a year ago, that T mobile was going out of business. They keep advertising with good deals,it seems like. Anyone know the scoop? |

They did not merge with AT&T......Tmobile is effectively dead in teh water......jump ship posthaste. I'm not with them but was thinking of going that way.Why all the agressive advertising? Trying to beat the war drums to garner support for a fledgling company. |

Not sure but I do know anyone I talked to via t moblie sounded like crap... couldnt understand what they were saying... Ive been with verizon for years now... Me too. Verizon was the only company that had service out in the boondocks, where I live, at the time. |

I have the pay monthly plan with them. I've been less than impressed so far. Not sure who would be better though. I think this is what I've seen advertised. Unlimited, 50 bucks a month, right? Yup. That's what I have been doing. But the phone I picked is supposed to be a smart phone but it iffy on some features, and the unlimited package include wireless internet. And every time I have renewed - even if I go into the store and hand them cash - I have had to call in and get them to sort it out because they still turn off my service on the actual "due" date.

I think with her customer service abilities we could get it um, straightened out. And both leave satisfied. |

Been with them for years now, never had an issue or any complaints.
For what I get through T-mo Verizon charges more. Now I had a cell through work that was a verizon phone some time ago. I got T-boned pretty bad and when I attempted to call 911 my Verizon phone wouldnt call out stating it had no service but my personal T-mo phone was fine....guess my network was on lunch that day. |

IIRC T-Mobile go a good chunk of cash and spectrum as a parting gift from AT&T for the failed merger. I think they might actually be doing better now than they were before. FWIW I'm with Sprint and I'm happy with them. |

They got a $4bln break-up fee and some shiz but extra cash into a failing business only means the business survives longer.....it doesn't make it better. |

I'll chime in, I've been with T-mobile for about 9 years now. They've been great as far as I'm concerned. I have no loyalty to them in fact I've been off contract for 7 years; every 2 years or so I shop around to see what else is out there. Every time T-mobile wins in price/features for me. They are also the ONLY carrier in the US that can make calls over wifi. I'm not talking about 3rd party voip but native wifi calling. So if you're somewhere with no signal buy have wifi you can still make/receive calls and texts. Including out of the country. Also, they have tons of discounts they you just have to call up and ask including a 14%-18% discount for current or retired military. They also offer special unadvertised discounts if you call them and tell the phone system you want to cancel (you're then transferred to a special department.) But if you spend time out in rural places a good amount of time your better off with Verizon from what I hear. |

TMO USA is good sauce. They are getting ATT towers from the settlement. Their walmart prepaid is amazing. Unlimited 4g/txts and 100min voice for $30....is a great deal. But coverage is iffy for 3g/4g as of now until they get the ATT towers. The Galaxy Note at the Galaxy S3 are out now, which are the best phones on the market right now. |

To me paying the fee was better then wasting 8 more months of bills on a phone that doesn't work anywhere. |
works for me!
