Quoted: I drank the last three shots of the Bulleit I been working on since the first time it kicked my ass. Finally finished it. Washing it down with cold Budwiser, in the bottle. Good luck with that bottle. Well played sir ETA: Get some Jim Beam Black OP, save your pennies and the search... Enjoy |

Since price is irrelevant, I'd suggest trying some Booker's with an ice cube or two. |

Fighting Cock. I don't know how it ranks with other whiskey, but its about all a friend of mine drinks, and he has the cash. Fighting Cock!!! Good Lord, they still make that stuff??? LMAO When I was in HS and underage all we ever bought was Fighting Cock because it was so cheap. Bad imitation of Wild Turkey, but still 101 proof. Hit the 7-11, fill a Big Gulp halfway with coke then alllll the way to the top with FC. Good times! I haven't seen it in a liquor store for many many years. |
Breckenridge distillery. Their normal Special Release Bourbon is outstanding, it has won a number of awards and is like $40/bottle. They are supposed to release single barrel in the next few months. I am anxious about single barell to be released, price point is expected to be in the neighborhood of $100/bottle for the single barrel.
A year or so ago they distributed to like 2 states and were relatively unheard of, they grow and grow' have won some respectible awards and there is a reason. They make a good bourbon, it is probably good I don'tlive in CO otherwise I would have a second hime near their distillery. They make a decent vodka and just came out with a bitters, but by and large bourbon is their buisness. Blanton's is nice too, more well known for sure, has a strong history nice carmel color and warm hints. Today given the choice though I would take the Breckenridge. |

Quoted: No shit.Quoted: Jesus tap dancing Christ you people and your fucking ice. Brother, I live in Arizona. Me and my glass of Stagg with 2 ice cubes don't care. I work out in the heat all day, and I'll be damned if I don't cool my liquor down a bit. It would have to taste like glass to drink it without ice. |

Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: Bulleit Rye This is hands down my favorite. CC, stop by a Bevmo and see if you can find a bottle of Thomas Handy Sazarac Rye. It's cask-strength, unfiltered rye. It's pricey, bit damn it's good http://www.amazon.com/Thomas-Handy-Sazerac-Whiskey-Strength/dp/B005J6LAZY |

Quoted: Jesus tap dancing Christ you people and your fucking ice. I generally do not prefer bruising my whiskey, but to each their own I guess. IMO...if you're going to bruise your liquor, a little ice goes a long way. To much ice and it just dilutes an otherwise truly great piece of artful craftsmanship.

Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: 1792 Ridgemont Reserve and it's very good.drinking jack here, there is a decent single barrel- I thinks is 1776? not bad That's it, thank you. Yea, it's really good, and not ungodly expensive. Barton Brands Distillery, owned by Sazerac (the same folks that own Buffalo Trace), has produced 1792 Ridgemont Reserve Bourbon for almost a decade or so now. This bourbon is called "barrel select”, which essentially means it is a small batch bourbon. The master distiller selects barrels that he deems "ready” for batching together with other barrels and then bottles these "batches” separately. The minimum age of each barrel in 1792 (the year KY became the 15th state) is 8 years. That’s a fair bit of age, and what some believe to be a real sweet spot for most bourbons. Of course that’s extremely subjective. http://sourmashmanifesto.com/category/reviewsratings/1792-reviewsratings/ |

Well played sir
