Who's got one? What are your impressions of it? Thinking about buying one for the wife. |

Weren't they in this month's Consumer Reports as one of five cars NOT to buy. Yes.
Page 47: They're talking about the V-6: we suggest that you keep on looking, we found a jittery ride, pronounced road noise, and distracting controls - especially the MyFord Touch system. It has much worse than average reliablity. |

I work for Ford. Most of the Sync/my touch issues have been fixed with soft wear updates. The 3.5 engine is a very good engine I see very few problems with it. if you get 2013 you can look at the 4 cyl ecoboost all of the ecoboost engines are very fun to drive. I don't feel the road noise is any worse than like sized suv's of other manufacturers. But I drive an 88 wrangler with no top or doors 90% of the time so I have low standards. ![]() |

The controls were fine, but could have been a little more user friendly. Lack of storage I did notice. The comfort level of the seats though was very nice, and it was averaging about 29 mpg on the 30 minute test drive.

I think you will be happy with the edge. I honestly do not see them being problems or requiring work often. I was trying to think of something to tell you to look out for like " oh the 2nd row left hand seat gets stuck a lot " but they really don't have a lot of stand out problems. I've worked on them for things. I had to replace the back up camera in one on monday. That's the only one I have seen this week. |

We own an Edge and I cannot keep my wife out of it. She absolutely loves the vehicle. She wanted an Explorer but I told her why? when we only have the one child still at home?
We couldn't be happier with it. It is good on fuel, plenty of power, plenty of room and is really comfortable on the road. No complaints from us The Mytouch system is flawless since the update. Thats what triggered the unreliable vote from the auto mags. |

Bought an 08 Edge, new for the wife. At about 85k miles at this point. Other than a battery and tires, I've not had any mechanical issues whatsoever. Those computers that show your avg. mpg are inaccurate. The car will get 22 mpg on a road trip and 19 in town, if you're lucky. It's really an ok car, I drive pickups, so I can't stand the feel of front wheel drive cars. Plenty of room inside.
She likes the car just fine...I spec'd it out and ordered it when I was working for Ford, no touchscreen or navigation bs for me. It's an SEL. |

I've got a little over 5k miles on our 2012 Edge.FWD. Basic vehicle, the only option was convenience group something or other. Backup proximity alert and sat. radio(6 months)
Driving the hills around here it gets 23 mpg. Out on the flat hiways 28 mpg. V-6 has plenty of power. Road noise is minimal. I like a firm ride so to me it rides great. Surprisingly roomy back seat. Only complaint I have is the passenger seat. If they can make a drivers seat with lumbar support, why can't they put it in the drivers seat? |

We got one 6-months ago and enjoy it a lot. No problems whatsoever. How's the ride compare to the AH-1? Almost as smooth as the Cobra, but needs more rockets pods and machine guns!!! No matter what the question is, the answer is always more rocket pods and machine guns! |

Not sure how they arrive at their conclusions but as I sell competitive lines, I have a pretty good idea as to what is and isn't good. They blow it far more often than not. |
