Is anyone concerned about the Obama Admin's decision to reverse Bush's stance and participate in the UN ATT talks?  Supposedly Mexico and other countries are trying to ban the private ownership of small arms.

Here's the reply from my Democrat senator.

Dear Mr. 50-140:

Thank you for contacting me about the United Nations (UN) Small Arms Treaty.

Earlier this month, I sent a letter to President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton expressing my concern with the UN Small Arms Treaty as it relates to civilian firearms ownership.  I also support legislation introduced by Senator Jerry Moran to prevent Congress from providing funding for the treaty if it fails to recognize the legitimacy of Second Amendment rights.

I will oppose any treaty that attempts to limit the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding Americans.  I am a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association, and I am committed to defending the right to bear arms. I will continue to work to ensure that responsible firearm ownership is protected.

Thank you again for contacting me.  Please continue to stay in touch with your thoughts and concerns.

Sincerely,

Mark Begich

U.S. Senator

No I’m more concerned that Obama is trying to destroy our country economically and destroy the US Constitution and amendments.

This POS hates us to his very soul and people like lemmings still support the person who is working to destroy them.

You do understand that the transition will not be complete with the private ownership of firearms in this country, don't you?

For all the pieces to fit together, the total destruction of the constitution has to be complete.

I hope our military wouldn't stand for it because they would be the only ones that would have the capacity to enforce it.  We don't want another one of those civil disasters with some conservative on liberal beat down.  There are a lot of democrats that have stated that they would not stand for the destruction of our 2nd amendment rights via some international treaty.  Mexico just wants to blame the fact that they can't control the population of their country on the US because otherwise they would have to blame themselves.
