(Sorry for cold link, sorry if dupe)

Yeah, yeah, I know, 2/3 Senate approval and all that...

BUT...what if they just don't call it a treaty?

I'll bet if ARFcom existed in 1986, you guys would have said the same thing.  What good did having the fight then do?

OHHH.  You're saying that passage of this bill will result in some apocalyptic battle of good vs. evil in the United States?

Well, it won't. Sorry to ruin your fantasy.  You'd wind up paying a bit more for ammo since the surplus is gone, and if you like AK's you're effectively screwed.  Other than that, nothing changes.  But don't let that keep you from your "Vote from the rooftops" wet dream.

You can read whatever you want into my post. However I am not sure this would waft away like a fart in the wind. Our country is boiling right now and your impression may be that we will just roll over and take it. But I think that a segment of our population is generally soft spoke but has been just about pushed to their breaking point. If you can't feel the tension in the air then you need to get out and talk to some everyday working folks on the street. People are getting tired of being stepped on and some feel like they are the only ones compromising and are sick of losing their rights.

I hear more and more folks who are just average everyday people, not ARFcom fanatics, expressing some terrible ideas. I for one do not want to see violence in our streets thankfully that sort of thing never happens...right?

But then again it could just be my imagination.

Every single bullet you buy will be 10 forms to fill out and a 6 month wait for BATFE approval.  Or something.
