Have any of you RAZR or RAZR Maxx users gotten the Ice Cream Sandwich update yet? Just curious. I thought it was supposed to be out by the end of this month. |
|
Quoted: Quoted: They usually roll them out in waves. I'm on a Rezound and waiting fo the "June or July" ICS release. Also on a rezound. Any idea how ics will effect us if we use it? You can google the main features of "ICS 4.0". Should give you a laundry list of all the added improvements. It should be a pretty big step up. Lots of nice features. HTC has made the "sense" overlay/skin a lot less obtrusive and toned it down quite a bit. So it won't look stock like the Galaxy Nexus, but it won't be so dramatic. |

2.3.6 in AZ on a Maxx purch'd last month
Friend in AZ with a Razr purchased 11/11 also has no update yet Seems like it's more of a geographic than meid rollout Those updated claim they got a "you'll receive update in a week" msg from VZW, and 4 or 5 hours later it was downloading |

Razr Maxx here, still on 2.3.6. Does anyone know if they release it by region or state or how they have it set up? They're doing it in waves, starting yesterday. Apparently the release starting on the 22nd was a "beta" test of sorts. The general roll out started yesterday, and they'll be doing it in waves OTA. I don't know what the order will be. |

WTF is this? I just got a RAZR and it downloaded an update which I installed. Doesn't look or feel any different. Go to Settings>About Phone then look at the Android version. Does it say 2.3.6 or 4.0.something? I see. Looks like it's still the old one. What exactly is so great about this mythical ICS? |

Well, DLNA is now broken.
Anyone else try RAZR + ICS + DLNA? The Motorola Mobility crack coders strike again. Google drops a gsm preview of 4.1 that is modded for vzw gnex devices in 6 hours yet moto cannot get a 6 month out 4.0 rollout working. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

Got it at midnight last night. It does appear to be faster. If the 4g network didn't suck so bad at my house I could run a upload/download test to see if ICS improved internet performance at all. With 2.3.6 I got download: 11.46/ upload: 4.15/ ping: 103. FWIW I never received a message that I was going to get the update. I manually checked and found there was an update available. |

Waiting for mine to get the download to update. I guess now that I've seen and read all this, it makes sense what the guy from the Verizon store said about Samsung having the ICS and I replied with a face and said what the hell is that?
