| your thoughts on legalization? taxing it?should military members be dishonorably discharged? |
|
We do this every fucking week two to three times a week with the same fucking people pissing in each others cornflakes. Nothing ever gets solved save for the phrases "your a druggy" "your a Nazi" You don't like freedom" to bans, locks and a whole host of shit. This same fucking topic has come up thousands of fucking times and has been since this shit was an AOL group.
Hell I remember being in fucking Bosnia in 1999 and seeing this same fucking topic. Fucking 13 years ago. |

we don't need another government sponsored and socially accepted drug. What we need to do is make it legal to grow and smoke on your own property. What happens in your home is none of the governments business. Growing systems would be cheap due to market competition and high yield plants could keep a pothead happy with just a small greenhouse, shed or a large closet space. Unlike tobacco and alcohol it is easy to grow enough to support your habit. This solution would make everyone happy. The costs of the drug enforcement would go down. the strain on the court and prison system would go down, and we wouldn't have to create more government horseshit. |
| If you really want it legalized.....don't let the .Gov ANYWHERE near it. Not only will they tax it, they will form HUGE money grabbing departments, that make lotsa money from regulations regarding its use. The agency you work for can still specify what will and will not be tolerated for THEIR employees. |

Sums up the topic perfectly |

Leave it to the states.
But keep in mind those of you who want to criminalize it, someday it may be your vice that the state cracks down on. http://www.usatoday.com/news/health/story/2012-05-31/soda-ban-new-york-city/55296248/1 |

Legalize everything, take 10% of the funds currently being used for fighting drugs to open state/gov funded rehab for people that want to get clean, and let nature sort the rest out. If you legalize things like meth, the ease of making it combined with a ready supply will have fuck heads OD'ing left and right... which is a good thing. Once they thin themselves out and the "OMG, i can do drugs legally!" rush is over, it'll be like tobacco or alcohol, just white noise in the background. Plus then i can get back to be being a recreational marijuana user like in high school/college, instead of getting fat and destroying my body by drinking alcohol

Quoted: Why is it "illegal" again? Because according to very scientific government testing, it's a schedule 1 drug, making it more dangerous, addictive, and medically useless than things like cocaine and heroine. Good thing the government is here to keep us safe from the dangers of plant life! |

Quoted:
Why is it "illegal" again? Originally, to make wood use cheaper for paper, and because Mexicans used it. Now, more to keep judges, lawyers, LEO's, prison guards, etc. gainfully employed. And because the tobacco and alcohol lobbies work to keep it illegal. |

But if it was legal...that'll mean we might not need as much of all this cool stuff. ![]() http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTBLVeFwNQHnDjJxg2SBXIrCPUyaTMDpkjLm_gxXsXDUzZgZ36JsQhttp://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSEOZad7ifOOWy2Ixg3taqtBuw8pHzXGj4169GlmzrClDp7QB_q0whttp://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTKf12aPY89la31cGoTTAW_fC0TdvZQCzqodmhboHXEb-JQxM2Jhttp://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRMFocyXIXfjhwXK-N7HrTC1dZ9gi16Q6O7GcCub5xoqFhksAAPYQhttp://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQ9Q46mJml-ZUv3fvE5r3bLGS0q_6WFdWj0T0uAYlWXQJurpvIIhttp://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcStHCbWBFuZ4w_jsJXjzBJAmKNHbAuCVxrL-QnhpDiuhaEXAUaOhttp://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRAtboxROO8mmm91kHHS4hy81iohR89KP57dCyiJlTjVGNp0Qxchttp://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcThS54i7YYrJk10AtHr-GO0OTQBbMexegStM4Ryos1OlAqF_eVznA
Don't worry, I'm sure the government will need all the taxpayer funded cool stuff they can get to fight the the WO32S. (War on 32 oz Sodas). |

Why don't we just hold people personally accountable for their behavior. We don't allow them to have any excuses about being drunk, high, sad, or stupid. We just hold them accountable for breaking other people's property, or infringing on other people's rights. It's pretty simple if you think about it. In case no one has noticed, our country is pretty much broke. We can't afford the nanny state. We need to fire mommy, and grow up.

I've heard this idea elsewhere from various wild-eyed Cato institute types, but I *think* I arrived at it independently. I've said it on here before anyways: There should only be one driving law: a law against driving unsafely. You can apply that theory of laws to just about any activity you want and I believe it holds up to reason. Smoke whatever plant you want to. Just don't do something that causes measurable, significant risk to others. |

your thoughts on legalization? Yes taxing it? No more then cigerettes should military members be dishonorably discharged? They get a general under other then honorable, that being said Fuck em they broke the rules Why should something be taxed? Doesn't a tax imply a service rendered? From a pragmatic standpoint, taxing legal marijuana as much as tobacco might not be much different than simply not legalizing it at all. Remember, tobacco is a black market commodity too, even though it's legal, precisely because of the oppressive level of taxation applied to it. |

Like Daniel Tosh said, we should just legalize it... so that potheads have nothing to talk about EVER AGAIN. and the Libertarian party disappears like bong smoke in the wind I don't think it would disappear, but it would take a shower and maybe act a little more "grown up". |

This thread again? Geez, just legalize it, mon. I go 180 degrees in the opposite direction. We need to treat the "War on Drugs" just like a real war. We need to get serious and start executing dealers and growers. Serious prison time for possession and use. Fuck it I do not like druggies and I believe we need to prosecute this war on drugs properly. I am also for "Comprehensive Immigration Reform" but I do not see it the way the Liberals do. Stop Immigration right fucking now. Deport every single motherfucker who is in this Country illegally. Get every single one. Punish employers who hire illegals. Punish landlords who sell or rent to illegals. Put car dealers who sell cars to illegals out of business. Do not educate and doctor illegals. Get them the hell out now. Then in say 10 years or so we can think about again allowing controlled legal immigration. Also I agree with the 3 strikes method on immigration. First time someone is caught in this country illegally fingerprint, photograph and collect DNA sample from them. Second time tattoo"Strike Two" across their forehead. Third time death penalty. |

Do you think alcohol drinkers should face serious prison time? Do you think homebrewers should be put to death? If not, why not? |

So, somebody has a PLANT, a PLANT that grows by the side of the road, growing in their yard, should be EXECUTED? Personally, I think we should have a WAR ON THE PRK. Kill all the california scum. Do it for the CHILDREN.

I have always kinda veiwed pot in the same light as alcohol and thought it should be treated as such. 21 age limit. no DUI of it tax it like cigs profit clearly you have never seen someone who is stoned, or used pot yourself. driving under the influence of THC is as dangerous if not more dangerous than alcohol. |
