Why the fuck is it, that in this day and age, with millions of Americans out of work, the the cable networks are hiring nothing but Brits?

True Blood uses some Australian actors, not British pretty much all movies/tv shows like GoT that have a fantasy type setting will cast British actors. the British accent just works in that setting. try to imagine the GoT cast with southern drawls, or a NY accent  |

Yeah, I think hiring eight americans to pretend to be from Westeros would really make a dent in the unemployment rate. Employers don't owe "americans" a darn thing. If american actors want to get hired for parts, they should be better actors, or else should endeavor to act in a way more likely to attract american audiences, whether that's "better" or not. |
