I don't think you need a virus software for the iPad. I could be wrong. I use mainly my iPad and rarely use a lap top or desktop computer which use to get a ton of viruses. It seems like if your iPad is getting funky just reboot it and everything is back to normal.
The only virus that springs up on people is the ones who show their guns and strangely a virus/message automatically asks for the member's address. That virus seems to affect only this website and I'm assuming that it affects iPads also. Strange.
