is it designed to come undone after 2 or three uses or is that feature unique to the two Maxpedition products I've purchased?  Anybody else having issues?

I had that problem with .511 pants. Took them to a seamstress and she told me the stitching was totally wrong. One lose thread and you were fucked. Sent an email to them but never heard anything back. Never bought their pants again.
Back packs are good though.

I own three Maxpedition gearslingers.

Never had an issue with any of them.

My Maxpedition stuff has great stitching, but I heard they've gone downhill recently.

if it gets too bad, itll end up in aimless's sigline, which has both saved and cost me money.

I've been carrying one of their wallets for three years now and it still looks like new.

I've carried my two maxpedition packs in over 40 countries and they still look good as new.

Never had any QC issues with any Maxpedition gear.

As a matter of fact, they're on a short list of quality vendors I buy from.

You guys are outing yourselves for owning murses.

Disclaimer, I have a pack, a wallet, a few miscellaneous pouches, and I'm trying to figure out which versipack or gearslinger I want to use for a small camera bag.

My maxpedition manpurse/satchel/whatever and nalgene bottle carrier seem gtg.

But I will say......

I got their Nalgene bottle carrier to strap on the side of a back pack.  Ummmm it comes with lots of molle webbing and a shoulder strap hook......nothing to attach it to anything.  It was the most worthless purchase I have ever made.  Why would I want a nalgene bottle carrier with molle webbing and no way to attach it to anything?  Am I just going to carry the bottle carrier?  For whatever reason, I am having a hard time finding straps to attach it to the side of my 5.11 bag.  But I feel like I shouldn't even have to be looking for straps.  With the price I paid for that bottle carrier, that shit should have come with molle straps.  I then went and got a Blackhawk bottle carrier for about half the price and it came with those nice plastic straps that are easier to weave.

Anyway, both my shoulder bag and bottle carrier are good quality but I got ripped off on that bottle carrier.  For whatever reason, I took it as a big deal.  I guess it's just because I got a nalgene pouch and they sent it with nothing; so apparently I am expected to carry it.  I could have just carried the bottle if that's what I wanted.

The velcro loop tab on the water bottle holder of my EDC is coming unravelled, and I have a rollypoly backpack with a strap coming undone.  The most the rollypoly had in it was 2 magazines, a small paperback book and my ipod/kindle.

I'll contact them and see how it goes.  I'll try to snag some pictures of my problems and post them later.

I've been using the bag big enough for a 17" laptop everyday for over a year.  Laptop, Ipad and at least one pistol are the heavier items.  My son has been using a Pygmy Falcon for his book bag all this school year, packed full.  Both bags still look new.  T

Nylon thread and cloth are very slick and tend to come apart.

A dab of seam sealer here and there on stitching glues the threads and cloth together so they don't slide.

This is the easiest stuff to find:

I have a shitload of maxpedition crap and never had a problem, what specifically happened, like what product failed and when is you buy it.

Unrelated but the guy who runs edc forum claims he caught maxpedition shilling then got threatened with a lawsuit or something. Personally I have had good luck with maxpedition.

Sorry missed 2nd post, when did you buy the defective stuff?

I've had a micro wallet and versa pack for years. The stitching is like the pyramids of Egypt.

EDC maybe 6 months ago.  It's seen light duty use.  The main compartments seem to be ok, just the loop tab on the drink bottle area is coming up.  The Rollypoly I loved, but after a couple of uses you can see the webbing on the bottom of one of the straps completely frayed.  I suspect whoever put it together didn't get enough webbing inside the seam to make it stick.  Rollypoly was purchased last year to serve as a really light duty carry on.  I didn't load it down with textbooks or anything, like I said above, couple of magazines, small paperback book, and kindle/ipod.

I've read that here before, but I have two packs, one of which I use daily ( A RollyPoly extreme), two Nalgene water bottle carriers, and a cell phone carrier that have all held up to alot of use.

I wonder if they have several sources for their products, and one supplier is better than the other.

If you were not satisfied with the Nalgene bottle carrier, why didn't you just return it for a refund?

I forget where I got it from but when it came, I think I purchased it through a distributor on Amazon and had made multiple purchases.  It all showed up together and I was excited about some things and not so much with the bottle carrier.  I was going to return it but I figured it wouldn't be worth the money it would cost me to ship it back, nor the time.  If it was a $50-100 item and I was unhappy, I would have returned it.  But I would have lost like 1/3 of the money I spent on it, just to send it back.
