Jesus verses Allah. Well, Jesus is more accurate and better built, but you can throw a handful of mud into Allah and it will still work. I hear the killing power of Jesus is awesome, and he carries more rounds for a lighter combat load. Allah's rounds penetrate better though. It's a tough call. Balming |

It's so much more than a question of names. Remember, Islam recognices the Old Testament as being the word of Allah, it's just that as the Jewish, they don't particularly buy into the New Testament. Islam regards Jesus as a prophet, not the Son of God. And they do not regard Muhammad as the Son of God either, just a prophet. Islam proclaims that there's only one God, but that there are many ways of worship. So originally Islam was the most peaceful of the three faiths (Judeo/Christian/Islam). but as with all religions, there's always a small element that will fuck it up and make the rest of the practitioners look bad (Does the First and Second Crusade sound familiar? Scripture: They don't "buy into" the OT either. Muslims believe in four God-inspired books: the Torah of Moses (what Christians call the Pentateuch) aka: the 1st 5 books of the OT, written by Moses. They believe in the Zabur (Psalms of David), the Injil (Gospel) of Jesus, and the Quran. But the Quran is Allah's final word to mankind, so it supersedes and overrules all previous writings. So one can see that Muslims leave a lot of the OT out of their teachings. "Islam regards Jesus as a prophet, not the son of God. True, however, Islam believes that Christ was only a man equal to Adam, Noah, Abraham and Moses, all of whom are below Muhammed in importance. They don't believe Christ died on the cross either. For Islam, there is only one way of worship. I think you are getting some of Islam's doctrines mixed up. There are 6 doctrines of Islam: They are basic doctrines that every Muslim is required to believe. 1. God,,,,one god named "Allah" 2. Angels. Chief angel is Gabriel, who appeared as Mohammed. Fallen angel named "Shaitan" (which by the way is Hebrew for "Satan") 3. Scripture (See above) 4. Muhammed. 28 prophets of Allah. The last and greatest prophet is Muhammed. 5. The end times. Allah will be the judge and each person will be sent to heaven or hell. Heaven is sensual pleasure (remember the virgin thing???). Hell is for those who oppose Allah and his prophet, Muhammed. 6. Predestination. God has determined what he pleases and no one can change what he has decreed. Muslims also believe in the 5 pillars of the faith. (Briefly listed below without explanation due to space constraints:) 1. Statement of belief 2. Prayers 3. Alms (tiething) 4. Ramadan 5. Pilgrimage to Mecca. As far as your statement of Islam being the most peaceful... The word "Islam" alone means "submission" (to Allah, the God of Muhammed). Members call themselves "Muslims, meaning "those who submit." Fact: 90-95% of all the conflicts on this planet today involve muslims fighting non-muslims or each other! Islam: "Religion of Peace?" From the Koran itself... O ye who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians for friends. [al-Ma'idah 5:51.11] Whoever changes his Islamic religion, kill him. Sahih Al-Bukhari (9:57) Slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and thake them captives and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush. (Koran 9:5) Take him and fetter him and expose him to hell fire. (Koran 69:30-37) I will instill terror into the hearts of the unbelievers, Smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger tips of them. (Koran 8:12) They should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides. (Koran 5:33) Know that paradise is under the shades of swords.
