There is no finer GPMG fielded my NATO than I'm aware of.
I've fired or observed tens of thousands of rounds-if not more-fired from M240 coaxial MGs, M240Gs, and M240Bs, and they are one of the most reliable belt fed weapons I have ever operated. They easily surpass the M60, M60E2, and M60E3 and the M249 SAW (5.56mm) for reliability. No contest. Heavy, but very reliable. |
