acceptable to be drinking at 9 am? |
|
I work graveyard shift. So, let's say I go home, sleep all day, get up and go out with the guys... have a couple drinks and go back to work. Shitty idea, eh? 'Cause then I'm drunk at work ad get fired.
Or, I go home, have a couple drinks, and then sleep the rest of the day, an be stone sober at work. Yes.... your friend is a dumbass pussy who is only lookin at things through his conventional schedule eyes. |

Worked the night shift, as well as a swing shift maybe a decade ago.
Still living in a major city. (NOISE KIDS LAWNMOWERS ARGGHHH) My alcohol consumption was about three times what it is nowadays. Get home start drinking just so I could get maybe 4-6 hours of straight sleep. By 9am I was working with a good buzz and closing in on the pillow. Sure as hell can't fault ya with that. |

Night shift at the hospital I used to work at, we'd meet at Taco Cabana if it had been a bad night and get drunk on beer and crappy margaritas at 0730. The employees were cool but customers never could understand why there were half a dozen drunk people in scrubs there while they're picking up their breakfast tacos for their kids.

Quoted: I have a friend who maintains its still messed up, my counter argument is that he is a pussy. Ill give 10-1 odds your friend has never worked midnights. Im going back on midnights Sunday night and 8:00 Monday morning Ill be sitting here with a screwdriver in hand. |
