Math, I am not a therapist. Solve your own problems.

I have an EE degree. I was taught math that involved single problems that would require 3 pages and would tell you the answer to something that .00000000000002394% of the population could not give a rats ass about.  I have also not used any of it since graduation and remember nothing!. But I got a bunch of D's on some tests and passed dammit. So I can say I did it, and when people ask what my degree was, I can say EE bitches! And minds totally get blown and I all of a sudden am impressive to most people.

And that is what I tell kids that bitch about learning math.

Algebra is actually quite useful in everyday life. Trig as well.

In math, you're not expected to solve  x^2+3x+18=0 every day in normal life. You're expected to learn how to use your brain to solve problems. Most of the people I know that are good at math can figure shit out.

As a side note, I used some moderately advanced mathematics to figure out the limit on the amount of medicine my friend will have in his system if he takes one pill every 8 hours (the medicine had a half-life of 18 hours).

Checked my answer with some medical formula I found online and it was correct.
