Hi all I've got a Daewoo DR200 and would like to install a Harris bipod on it. The problem is that the handguard is not strong enough to withstand the shock after each round and made a crack on it. So it looks like the only option is to use Harris No.4 universal adpater to use it but I am not too sure if it's such a god idea to mount a bipod + adapter directly on the barrel. I've heard that it's not a good idea to mount a bipod directly on barrel and it might also effect the accuracy of a rifle. Is it true that mounting a bipod directly on the barrel of the rifle is a no-no?? Looking at AKs & RPDs, they all mount bipods on their barrels. Does any one know whether it's ok to use or not?? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
