So my homeowner’s policy has a coverage limit of “unscheduled” (not specifically listed) firearms of $2,500.
The NRA has a limit of coverage of $2,500. 1.Is the NRA coverage for “scheduled” or “unscheduled” firearms? 2.Does it include optics attached? 3.How does the NRA coverage work with the insurance coverage? Is it in addition to or after the insurance limit has been reached? 4.If I add “scheduled” coverage and list my firearms with the insurer under what circumstances does the NRA pay out? 5.What would the NRA pay in the following scenario: Let's say I own $7500 worth of firearms. I “schedule” $2500 of them with my insurer. All of them are stolen. My insurer has stated that $2500 of them are covered as unscheduled firearms, $2500 of them are covered as scheduled firearms, does the NRA pay for the remaining $2500? I sent these questions to the NRA. I think there are some insurance terms I don't understand regarding the order in which insurers pay when there are more than one. Anyone have any idea what would happen in my scenario? |
