Is just starting on ABC as I write. Interesting that something from my childhood––the annual Easter showing of the movie––still happens. Cheesy, sure, but still fun to watch.
Oh, and Yvonne Decarlo (Lily Munster) was a hottie back in the day. I seem to remember reading somewhere that this is considered by some to be the most vulgar movie ever made. |

I see it now in a whole new light. What a great story of redemption and delivery...
There are so many themes that are touched upon in the older scriptures that are addressed again in the gospels. This is one of them. Enjoy the movie. PS. Watch The Passion Of the Christ this weekend as well. |

Anne Baxter ( Nefertiri) was a hottie as well...............and Yul Brynner was one hell of an actor

I tried to tape that movie so many times as a kid. Problem was that I always seemed to start recording it halfway through the movie. So for awhile we had just the last 45 minutes or so. Then when I tried to tape it again, we only got the last hour and a half or so. It wasn't until I was almost a teenager that I finally got the whole thing on tape, so I know the ending of the movie very well indeed. ![]() It was a sad day when I finally started studying Egyptian history and decided the Exodus hadn't actually occurred in Ramesses' reign. |

Lotta hot little numbers in that film. Dozens of them. Unbelievable.
I once read an article about the film that claimed it would was one of just a handful of movies in history that could never be recreated the same way ever again (ie, no CGI). It would cost over a half-billion dollars or some stupid number. |

We watched a good bit of it tonight. I finally bought the DVD of it because of the Epicness of it! BigDozer66 Have had the DVD for many years, but still watch the ABC showing. Oh, and Anne Baxter for the sultry, sexy win. Did you think my kiss was a promise of what you'll have? No, my pompous one. It was to let you know what you will not have. I could never love you.
Does that matter? That scene was smok'n! |

Without Jesus Christ and the new covenant, you will be held to the old covenant, to which none of the Adam can uphold nor sustain.
Jesus Christ died for our sins, and rose from the grave! This is the good news, that in Jesus Christ, we can live in the new covenant, knowing that HE fulfilled the old covenant. Rejoice, for in Jesus Christ is the mercy and grace of the LORD! |
