Storm as experienced TV weatherman sues CBS for sex discrimination claiming they favour 'unqualified attractive young women'
Daily Mail An experienced TV weatherman has sued CBS broadcasting for sex and age discrimination claiming his job applications were ignored purely because he isn't a 20-somthing and female.
Hunter, who has been a weatherman for Fox5 in San Diego, sued the broadcasting giant in Los Angeles last week. ........................ He alleges that the CBS stations favour young, attractive women to induce more men to watch their prime-time newscasts. His lawyer Gloria Allred,(  < my shocked face) who has represented the Family of OJ Simpson's murdered wife, Tiger Woods and Hermann Cain, says it is one of the first times a man has tried to claim unfair discrimination under California employment law on the basis of gender.
The lawsuit reads: 'It appears the defendants do not want knowledgeable weather professionals as their prime-time weather broadcasters. 'It appears instead that they only want attractive young women, and only attractive young women, broadcasting the weather.' Case dismissed.

Stephen Hawking could sue Calvin Klein because they didn't let him be an underwear model, just because he is older an not as physically fit. When physical image is part of the job I am OK with businesses deciding who they want to hire. |

When physical image is part of the job I am OK with businesses deciding who they want to hire. do the requirements STATE a physical presence, body type, age, abilities and or specify less than xx years modeling experience? or are they asking for an enducated, experienced, professional to report weather. Ageism is real, seen it myself and feel I am experiencing it today.. lots of other "ISM" keeps many fine people unemployeed... hope you never meet any 
while dozens if not hundreds here alone rale against goverment handout such as Social Security, I being one both a benificary AND Against the lie and what I feel crime foisted upon us by that system. I also KNOW many of those same yelling will say, HEY OLD MAN, GET OUT OF MY WAY, I NEED THAT JOB.... ,
