I would like to know what the CORRECT name of these succulents are.  I've heard them called everything from "alligator tears" to "mouse ears" to "mother of thousands".  What are they?

NOT the dildo looking thing, although I have no idea what it's called either.

It's the Upper Slobovian Henway, or Slobovius Threepoundus.

Ok, now just out of curiosity, what's the dildo looking plant?

I'm tempted to hang some "truck nuts" on it's base.

Be the last time you smoked a pipe, all of the plant is very poisonous.

That's most likely what it is.

They get rather large, I'd put it in another pot.

Aren't they the traditional flower for making leis, and grow to be a small tree/large shrub?

Don't know about the leis, but yes, they grow to the size of a small tree.

Many moons ago when I was a kid in Hawaii, we were sent on missions to collect what we called plumaria blossoms.  They generally were white or pink.

What made them so good for leis was that a plucked blossom had a hole right through the center ready for stringing.

They had five petals and grew low enough for a kid to reach.  Also they had a pleasant aroma, sort of like vanilla.

I'm just not sure if they were actually plumeria or if that was just the name that stuck.
