For a pretty long time I have been trying to convert one very Liberal and Democrat Sister in law to being a Conservative. She knows we make guns for a living and also has been anti gun all her life. She grew up in jersey where everyone in her area and Family was a Liberal. Her late husband worked every year for the dems to make sure they stayed in power. He's dead now but he was such a liberal that at family functions he would drive me insane, he had came close to getting punched out by me on more than one occasion. Today we finished a few AR's and were on our way outside to test fire them in advance of shipping. I said in passing to my SIL, you wanna try this? She said OK sure? I was shocked! Never one to let an opportunity pass by I said come on. After 5 min of safety and showing her what she needed, I loaded one rd in the chamber and put it on safe. She shouldered it, asked me to take it off safe, she held her finger off the trigger as she was instructed and asked if it was OK to fire? I said go ahead. She put the rd in an old 20 pound propane can at 100 yards. She kept the muzzle pointed up and handed it back to me and said thank you, she had the biggest smile you'd ever want to see. She has already said she's not voting for obama. She has said she and her dem friends were lied to by the dem party about obama and he doesn't know what to do. She's almost a Conservative, she's on her way at least. |

Does my heart good when I read things like this.....my sister in law never fired a gun before so I took her to range and with positive reenforcement she did real well...now she's gonna get her CCW....sometimes they just don't know what they're missing..Oh and her husband bought her a gun for Christmas....

My Wife was a dem when she was younger. She worked at the polls and all. She never believed in abortion or a free ride, always worked hard. I asked once about how she handled working around the die hard liberals ? She said it bothered her when they started talking about all the bad the white population has done to the Black Americans. White guilt is used as a tool and weapon by liberals. She never fell for it. Once we were married she came over to the light all on her own. She never had much in common with liberal philosophy anyway. |

jrzy this sounds like my wife. She grew up in italy, been here since she was 20. when I met here 7 years ago she was a staunch Demorcrat, anti gun and all. Now votes Repub, a staunch conservative and loves her guns.
With some people they are liberal because they don't know any other way. Once they have there eyes open to the world they see things very different. Congrates on winning another heart and mind.

MIL already says there is no way she is voting Obama again
