tyr this, without some water to wash it down and get back to me. Tried a bottle of this stuff about two years ago, I'll be honest I couldn't finish it

I would, if the label was in any way legible.

Ahh, I meant my comment more in the "it lets you know it's there" (I was assuming you were talking about the alcohol, not the hops)

Chimay will plant most people I know flat on their butt within a couple of glasses

What he said.  Chimay is stout shit.

Don't like IPAs myself.  I'd rather have a nice porter or stout.  Or double bock.  Salvatore... mmmm

Chimay is great, drink 1 and don't plan on driving, drink 3 and don't plan on standing.

Try "Hops Rising".  It's made in Utah and available in Neveda.  I'm east of the mississippi so it's not available where I live.  You might have better luck where you are.  It will blow your socks off.  The bar in Vegas had it on tap.

I love this stuff and the Specs near my house has it for cheap all of time.

Southern Tier is good stuff. They carry the double ipa at the class six here at Bragg.

If you like IPA's try Founders. 9.4% alcohol. I don't like IPA's to much, but I have found some that are good. Flying Dog also makes a good IPA, if you don't like it bitter.

Stone's Bastard beers are great. I've liked all the ones I've tried. Also try Dead Guy Ale by Rouge. It's pretty good if you can find it. I'm in college, and I usually make my wn 6-pack, with 6 different beers each weekend and try them.

Heavy Seas Loose Cannon is also another decent IPA.

I love a good IPA.  Haven't had Southern Tiers though.

I was able to score 1/2 a case of Founders Double Trouble and a 6 pack of Bells Hop Slam though.

Hoppin Frog has some good IPAs too.  I think their Triple IPA is called Hop Dam and you better like IPAs if you get it.

I used to home brew IPAs. I hopped the hell out of them.

If I hand loaded my 10mm like that you'd have another, "my Glock blew up" story.

I love Odell's Woodcut Quad Ale (11.3 %ABV)

Tastes great and gets the buzz going fast!

I like their double black IPA as well

You'd love the Southern Tier 2x if you like those beers.

I had the 90 min while I was down in vegas. It was the best IPA I have ever had.

I wish I could get it here in MT

Dog Fish Head 120, 15-20% ABV (depending on brew year and yeast longevity due to weather)...  Redefines the IPA as something completely new.  I got to go to a tapping of that at Flying Saucer in Addison TX a couple years back.  3 glasses and I was stupid drunk.  Funny tasting too, it is very sweet, not what you generally think of when you think IPA.

If you want more traditional, Dog Fish Head 90, 9% ABV...  Traditional tasting IPA and available everywhere good beer is sold.  This is the stuff of legend.

If you guys can ever get a hold of Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale you won't be disappointed. It's not an IPA, but its good. And from the great state of KY, so I gotta support it.
