Does anyone have a PENDING date of around Sept 15 and still waiting? |

How do you check? I've done it before, I just forgot how. I'm waiting on 4 stamps You can call the ATF, but don't even bother unless you're at 5 months pending. Actually...they called me once. I can't remember exactly what it was, I didn't fill out one of the fingerprint cards or something and they took the info by phone. I'm getting old when I can't remember shit like that. That has been a while ago though. |

Do you get it back sooner if they reject it?
I wrote some pretty smart-assed stuff on my Form 1 under "purpose" (or reason, or whatever that field is called).
Does a rejection take just as long as an approval - or should I not assume anything from the fact that it hasn't been returned yet? |

As long as your puropse for owning is not illegal in the U.S. or your State it will get approved. I've seen some ridiculous reasons too. Someone here got one approved for Zombie Control. I guess this isn't the thread to wax nostalgic at the speed stamps were returned shortly after the ATF move to Martinsburg, Door-to-door 5 week MG stamp.

Quoted: Doesn't this frost your ass! If the LEO signed off they should just cash your check and send it out...shit If you already have a NFA item they should just cash your check and send it back...what a waste of time.. Unfortunately...the system is working as intended. |

I'm reasonably certain that box takes the cake for 'stupidest question on any government form.' |

I bet that at some point, someone did.

Those are some very nice folders you have there! |

About 3 years ago, I omitted sending my trust paperwork in with the form 1. At that time it was taking 3 months or so. I realized I left the trust out when I eyed it sitting on a table. On the advice of an arfcommer, I didn't re-send, but let the process work. Sure enough, at about 2-1/2 months in, I got a 'problem' letter that was a form that had about 50 potential issues, with the 'insufficient documentation' or something line being checked. I sent the trust document in along with the document they returned to me, and I had my approved form in less than 2 weeks from putting it back into the mail. |

but my question is where is the shrimp? |
