I loved this movie as a kid. I know, I know, its a cheesy barbarian movie. But it holds a place in my heart and brings back memories. Lots of creepy parts.
Also liked, in the same sort of genre, Krull, and Legend. Great flicks. Man I feel old. Miss the 80's. |

I dunno what it is about that movie but it was my favorite growing up - and I always thought it would be cool as hell to have a ferret.
I watched it the not to long ago, and couldnt figure out why I had fell in love with it- and watched it over and over. I barely could sit through it |

The cloaked guys that dissolved and ate people gave me nightmares. I'll go ahead and add The Dark Crystal |

Sadly, the gal in it died a few years ago of cancer, I think. |

Yeah, I grew up during the 80's too. ![]() |

And the swords that were all seemingly made of sugar glass, because they all break if you even look at them wrong. |

I watched all those movies religiously when ever they came on stations like TNT etc. Probably one of the reasons I am so warped as an adult. I don't see a lot of fantasy barbarian stuff nowadays, other than movies like Skorpion King and the remake of Conan which I enjoyed. Watching Ron Pearlman get covered in molten steel was cool. |
