Just started doing the prelim work on our taxes. Can't finish it as I am still waiting on my W-2 and our mortgage interest statement. Now, the SO has a side business doing direct sales for a wickless candle company. I told her last year what I needed as far as her tracking her expenses. Did she do it? Of course not. So now I have to wade through all the bank statements and receipts to track what she had in expenses. What a pain in the ass. |

Did it make a profit or are you trying to show a loss? |

I did my prelim work last week, then realized I don't have my 1099 from my non-retirement investments. They emailed me to say it wouldn't be available until med February.
I still have to figure out how to claim my income from my side business as my salary from it was below the threshold for a W2. |
I'm actually just pending one 1099 for interest earned in a savings account I had to open for an auto loan at a credit union. I'd be surprised if it's even a dollar. I pretty much have everything I need to file for personal taxes pending that. I don't want to leave anything out. Sole proprietorshit losses will add about $1000 in taxes back. Hey, I got a sweet iMac and iPad out of it along with software, a guitar, and an amplifier. ![]() Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile If your interest income from that account is less than $10, they probably won't send a 1099. |

Tell her she'll enjoy Club Fed if she doesn't get it in gear. |

If we are talking about a few hundred bucks loss or something do you even need to bother to report it? Can't make that much difference on your return. Does the candle company send her any tax documents or anything? |

Makes the difference between owing or breaking even (where I want it). |
