I have a Trident Kraken case for a Droid X. I also have an Otterbox on another Droid X. I have tried this on three different Droid Xs, and the only common denominator is the Trident case. The malfunctions are identical across the several phones I've tried. Most notably when you answer an incoming call, the screen will change to show the active call for just a split second and then go black. The phone becomes completely unresponsive and the other party cannot hear you, but you can still hear them. To end the brick session the other caller has to end the call, or you must remove the phone from the case. The case will also randomly cause widgets and application shortcuts to be removed from the home screen without any apparent pattern. Has this happened to anyone else? The only thing I can think of is that the tolerances are too tight and this case is putting pressure on the phone or its controls and causing the malfunctions. Any ideas?  |
