Something evidently bit me on the top of my foot.Thursday I noticed a bit of tenderness but thought no more about it.Now it is badly swollen and hurts like hell all the way to above my ankle.I went to the Doctor today and he didn't seem very concerned.
He prescribed antibiotics and said to use Neosporin.I hope that clears it up. Any advice appreciated...... |

Keep an eye on it and make sure it does not become septic. |

How do you test for a staph infection??????? I'm sure a doc has to answer that. It is just that I know of 2-3 people personally who thought they had an insect bite that turned out to be staph. I would think that a course of antibotics would be the treatment for either one though. if it gets worse, it may have to be lanced

This, I got bit by one and sounds like you may have as well. Does it look like a little zit/pimple forming in the center of the sore? |
