That game is ridiculously over the top long. I'm only complaining a little about that though because I like it. I'm like level 53 or something and only 2/3 of the way through I think. Then again, I fart around a lot with side quests, smithing/crafting, nerdy shit like that. |

I tried it for 2 hours. I was bored to death. Yeah, you've got to be kind of a geeky dweeb RPG guy to enjoy it, which I am. I loved Fallout, will I like this game? ![]() Yup. If you can get into the whole dragon lore fantasy thing, you'll never put it down. Complete open-ended. Do whatever you feel. I got sick of caves, so I started picking pockets! |

I tried it for 2 hours. I was bored to death. Become a serial killer. Find 2 or more people who have some sort of disagreement. Take a side. Follow the loser around town, mapping their daily scheduled. Then when no one is around, kill them strip their corpse, and leave some small signature item on their body. Repeat far and wide. |

See, I'm waiting for them to take it MMO or at least "many player online". Would be cool to be able to do stuff like that and have real players try to hunt you down, etc... |
| I liked Fallout but I'm not into the whole fantasy & magic thing. I didn't think I would care for it but now I have almost 300 hours, total armor at 995 and all my Daedra weapons are smithed well over 100. Consider that I didn't know what any of that crap was back in November and I would have to say it's is one hell of an addictive game, and I probably haven't played a game for over a year before it came out. I'm definitely not the kind of person to get involved with a game to this extent, but it's just that good. |

Are there any trial versions or youtubes that shown how the game looks and works? Some vids here, I'm checking them out before I roll a toon. http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/121/1212136p1.html |

Armor caps at 580 or so, bud Which is nice because Daedric armor is silly looking and you can hit the armor cap of 80% reduction with every set starting from leather. Could do hide as well if you don't mind screwing with the dumb nature of enchanting/alchemy/smithing. |

Anything above 580 total armor (from helmet to boots) is useless, but you can improve your cumulative total well over that number, just for the hell of it. You just have to have 4 separate items that boost smithing skills at 25% per item, and blacksmith elixer which boosts it up 50% for 30 seconds, for a total of 150% above standard Legendary levels. That's also how you can end up with a one shot, one kill Daedric bow at over 200 damage. edit to add: reading that, I really need to quit playing for a while and get outside like normal |

You will love Skyrim if you love the era in which the game takes place. You will love that weapons don't require constant repair. ;) Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

OK, for those who've been playing...what is the best two handed weapon, and where do I find it? Smithing 100, Enchanting 100. Daedric Greatsword with whatever two damage effects you want. Greatsword is slightly faster than the warhammer, but the hammer does more damage per stroke. The downside to Daedric (or ebony) weapons and armor is once upgraded no vendors have the money to buy them except the ones that offer training. Buy Daedra hearts from the elf is green at the college or winterhold tavern. |

I've actually given up on all weapons except the Daedric bow which is now rated at over 200 damage when I have a boosted archery improvement ring plus fire and some other kind of damage I can't remember right now. Using this plus 99 sneak I can get through any dungeon, etc. without being seen and get one shot kills for most of Skyrim's boogers. I still use the regular Daedric sword wandering around outside in case I get jumped. Snow trolls can kiss my ass. |

That's the downside of Fallout & Elder Scrolls games, at some point you just become so awesome that the game is no longer fun. That's true. I'm at the point where I'm trying to make sure I found all areas on the map, etc. but it does take a lot of fun out of it when almost nothing can touch you. |

That's the downside of Fallout & Elder Scrolls games, at some point you just become so awesome that the game is no longer fun. The dragons are not that hard to beat, hit on the back side between the tail and wing and move towards the tail as they pivot to you. With dragonrend it is even easier. I have a level 50 battlemage and I can kill virtually all the dragons except the ancients with a enchanted Daedric bow, daedric arrow and decent poison with one surprise shot. IIRC max enemy level is 50 It usually a mage of some sort that kills me rarely a dragon. |
