Amazon has them for $52.88.  I wonder if it would be worth it to spend a little extra a get the slimlines?

I have a pair of Peltor ComTac II and a pair of the Sordin Supremes. They are both great for what they do, but I have a large noggin and the Sordins start to hurt after a while. The spring tension of the headband is pretty strong and they're made a bit small compared to the Peltors.

I've got Howard Leights, they fit me well and don't interfere with cheek weld.
I think I paid about 49 for a pair

I read about those on here and picked up a pair to replace my passive Peltors.  They are great for the price- fold up small for the range bag, and you can hear well in indoor and outdoor ranges.  Only downside is my friends without electronic muffs have to ask me to speak up.

I just picked up a pair of the Howard Leights for ~$50 on Amazon and they work quite well.  They've even got an audio jack for an iPod or whatever.

Yeah I'm really happy with my HL's.

Those are my primaries and work magnificently.  They are also very comfortable with the gel cushions.

The Peltor Tac 6's probably are best <$100 option.

I got some Peltors for $35 on Amazon (free shipping, too) about a month ago.   Shop around.

I've had both Peltors and Howard Leights go tits up from moisture (very light rain). But, I can't afford anything better.

I don't know what your budget is. I'm running these and am more then happy with them. Send them an audio gram and the can tweek the ear plugs to help you out where you need it most.

But the Sordins only have a NRR rating of 18. Is that enough? I'm looking for some electronic ear pro as well. I'm considering the Pro Ear stuff.

"Call for pricing" usually isn't within my budget, but something that doesn't remind me of those AM/FM headphones from the 1970's would be nice.

Aren't the Sordins active (noise-cancelling)? The NRR could then be for what they provide without the electronics...

I don't think so. The NRR rating should be the same whether the electronics are on or off.

I have a set of MSA Sordins that have bene my go to for a couple of years, paid a lot for them
I have a couple of sets of Peltor 7s that I used prior to the Sordins that I was happy with
I also have a handful of 6s's that I keep for when I take people shooting with me or when Im at the range and some asshat brings a kid or wife/gf and doesnt bring ear pro for them

I recently picked up a set of these for $90 http://www.botachtactical.com/pemtgbblhe.html which are Peltor's that bluetooth with my phone so I can take calls while Im shooting.  Not something I do on a regular basis, but its a nice option to have especially when I slip out for a quick lunch at the range while Im working.  I will point out that these are from Botach.  I have had bad luck with Botach in the past but decided to give it a try since I wanted to try a set of these out and this is easily $200 cheaper than anywhere else I could find online.  I had them in under a week with free shipping, no complaints from me.

I have three pairs of the Leights and am very happy with them. Good construction, auto off after several hours so your batteries last, standard batteries and comfortable. I tend to use them for 15-20 hours a month.

I went through 3 pairs of the Peltor Tac 6's. They were made with the circuit board in the same space as your ears when you are wearing them so you pump salt water onto them the entire time they are in use, then when they are not in use they never dry out if the ear pads are pushed together. This added to the lack of an auto off made me give up on them. They tended to last for about 6 months for me.

I also have a set of ESP analogs which are the tits, but they cost 800 a pair.

I have Howard Leights, and would not buy them again.  The seal against my head is easily broken with a small turn of my hedd.  My old Browning non-elect folders that are 10 years old are better.

The MSA Sordin Supreme III Pro+ is quieter than the Pro X, but it's larger.

For shooting, I wear plugs with these over the top.

For ROing and instructing, I wear just the MSA's.

Sounds like you got in on the Christmas deals.  I've seen prices go up & down on amazon worse than the stock market, though.

I'm using Sordins for outdoor shooting, especially rifles. I also use an earplug with it. It helps a lot.

If the Sordins aren't active, then I honestly don't see how they could be worth as much as they are. Plenty of good passive, noise-amplifying alternatives as listed here are much, much cheaper.

Shameless bump with a question. Has anyone used the Peltor MT15H7F SV Tactical Pro? Opinions?

I have:
Peltor Tactical 6s
Howard Leight Impact Sport (R-01526)
Pro Ears Pro 300
Pro Ears Predator Gold

The Howard Leight set is good for the money, but guest shooters who try them and either of the Pro Ear sets always seem to ask for the Pro Ears. Nobody seems to prefer the Peltor sets and they've been relegated to spare/backup sets placed in the various range bags I use.

I wear the Predator Gold set.
