Thinking about getting another upper and wondering what the best or most interesting commercially available non 5.56 round it should be chambered in.
Please give your reasoning for your claims. |

I pondered the same question over some beer the other night. I came to the same conclusion as I always do. 7.62x39.
It is very similar to the 30/30 in ballistics. Not a powerhouse but has better killing power on medium sized animals, deer for example. I rarely load more than 10 rounds when I use it and have plenty of 10 round mags. I can load up to 5 rounds in a 5.56 mag and they feed fine also. Ammo is available everywhere and is very cheap. |
