I was actually approaching the officer to have him give me directions as I didn't feel safe. If that was my partner we'd be having words later. If some guy jumps on me you'd better do something! If he could've effected the arrest properly on the first guy, the second dumbass wouldn't have been an issue. I've never liked fights in a crowd of people. ETA: While a kick to the face wouldn't be my preferred action, at least Officer #3 put a quick end to the fight so things didn't get more out of hand. |

The officer is justified in the use of any force which he or she reasonably believes to be necessary to defend himself or herself or another from bodily harm while making the arrest.
Kick to head, baton to the head, etc...is considered deadly force. You really better be able to articulate how that was a reasonable response when any other option was available. |

45 seconds to get a more or less cooperative suspect into cuffs? Those guys brought that on themselves. Failed to control their initial suspect, failed to watch their backs, failed to call for backup when the crowd was forming, and failed to control the crowd. |
