It wasn't even really a contest, Santorum isn't viable and Paul is hated by a significant segment of the base. The total vote doesn't even matter only the delegates do and we have no idea who got the most, but even that isn't binding and many delegates chosen today will have to vote for another candidate come march because Santorum isn't going to survive that long, it's basically a straw poll everyone's so worked up about, how desperate must we be to be protest-voting for a candidate as terrible as Santorum? what a mess...

Of course.....

However, the Liberals have decided that Obama's kids (at his request) naturally are not to be touched...but Palin's, Santorum's, etc. etc. etc..kids are fair game......Oh, let's not forget about prior relationship (Divorce, especially) records being fair game....except for Obamas, naturally...

I moved to PA the year before Santorum lost his reelection...didn't know him or of him muchl.   I asked a few long-time patients about him.      The general consensus was that he was an honorable guy (unlike his replacement Casey), and even if you didn't like his politics or moral views, you KNEW where he stood.   He didn't waffle, voted his beliefs...so basically you got exactly what you voted for.

Sadly, most of the other guys (except for Paul...and I'm not a supporter of MOST of his stuff) don't have anywhere near that reputation.

Romney wins.

We lose.

I'll grant the more extreme pagans here that Santorum has some positions I believe to be too strong, however, he espouses nothing that would have garnered a single raised eyebrow 25 years ago and he'd be light-years better than Romney.

If, of course, he could have pulled off a win in a strongly evangelical state. Eight votes isn't  much, but a win is a win.

Kinda sad that 5 people in Iowa flipped a coin yesterday and ruined my day.
