I was thinking about this and then it occurred to me why bother. 2012 will probably not be much different than 2011. I'll see the same people I saw the year before. We'll do the same things we did last year which will probably not be unlike the things we'll do in 2013. More of the same, more of the same...
I suppose if there were any I would sincerely try and commit to it would be the following: 1. No account warnings. It makes more work for the mods and reflects poorly on the site. 2. Sobriety. I've always handled my shit a work, but it would be interesting for a change. No beer with the burgers or wine with dinner. No occasional glass of scotch in the evening. It would definitely keep extra money in my pocket. Besides, it has never really made me feel better so why waste the money and energy? 3. Get a new job. I need to make more money with a company that will let me do what I do best: instruct and facilitate. So much goddamn koolaid and politics where I'm at now. 4. Save. My 2012 budget has me putting away $400 a month. I'm going to do my best to stick to that. I'll probably be living on my own so I expect expenses to increase. Really wanted NFA items in 2012 and a PredatAR. And lots of ammo. And medical supplies and foodstuffs. (sigh) 5. Lose weight. I'm not even going to attempt to dignify myself with an explanation of this one. I expect I'll fail at them all. Who else is participating in the obligatory sham resolutions?
