Very interesting (or it was to me, at least) documentary made/narrated by Gen Roddenberry's son... http://treknationmovie.com/ Not necessarily just for Trekkies, but we would likely enjoy it the most. It includes some interesting interviews and commentaries, some that we've all heard before (like Nichelle Nichols MLK story) and some we haven't. He apparently started the project years ago, but it goes all the way through the recent reboot and includes his discussion with Abrams about it. I just finished watching it back earlier tonight, but it is on again now. (The last airing I see scheduled, but it may be available online somewhere as well.) NOTE, IN CASE THEY AIR IT AGAIN LATER: If you are setting a DVR to catch it, make sure it is recording a 2-hour block. The first time I recorded it my grip only showed it as a 1-hour program and recorded it as such, only getting the first hour. Sorry if this is a dupe, I searched and saw nothing on it. |
