try some of the free antivirus, one will eventually pick it up.

that and check the permissions of the anti virus that's one the computer now, it might have permission granted, otherwise the AV would be going crazy and giving warnings.

I believe Kaspersky scans for keyloggers.

Kapersky gives you a free 30 day trial.

You might also try Trojanhunter software (free trial)


If you are talking about a desktop PC, anyone with physical access to the machine might choose to install a hardware keylogger, which will not be detected by software (check your keyboard cord, where it plugs into the USB port).

this is about the best one out there.  It is constantly updated behind the scenes to avoid detection.  It is not freeware, but worth the cost.  They have a variety of solutions based on your specific needs, including screen capture, keylogger, social media monitoring, and can email you on any schedule you want.
