Anyone who actually WANTS to be on a HOA board is immediately suspicious.
At best they will just be a bored, busy-body retiree who wants to feel important. We now see at worst they are actually mobsters commiting RICO crimes. Last thing I need is my neighbors forming a semi-legitimate layer of government to fuck with me. CIty/County/State/Federals law already protect me from more shit than I could ever imagine. I never understood why the kind of person who would get upset over a neighbor parking a boat in a driveway, would move into a neighborhood. Its just about having control. And when you have control you can shuffle money to make yourself richer. Thank god my HOA folded due to the inability to follow their own charter. |
